G3 - What is it? And how do I get started?

 What is a G3?

  • FELLOWSHIP IN COMMUNITY - G3 is a grassroots tool for personal growth which provides encouragement, commitment, acountability and support for all participants.
  • ACCOUNTABILITY - Two or three people for the same gender meet weekly for personal accountability for spiritual growth and development.
  • PRAYING FOR THE LOST -  The empowering of ordinary Christians to make disciples.

The two main elements of accountability (Galatians 6:1-5):

  • A steady and full diet of scripture.
  • The confessing of sin through honest responses to the accountability questions.

By unholding one another in accountability to these two areas, spiritual growth is cultivated.

The power of the G3 concept is in the regular reading of Scriptures. The level you select will include a guide as to the amount of weekly Bible reading to be completed. It is recommended that the amount of reading chosen for the participants in the group be a challenge to complete. If the group is completing the assignment easily, they you are not being stretched enough and the reading should be increased.

Qualifications for being a G3:

A recognised need for Chirst (Luke 5:29-32)

A faithfulness to the disciple making-process (2 Timothy 2:2)
